SMCKA Performance was created in Sydney in 2008 by then owner, Stephen McKay (Smckay). After buying a MK1 Escort 2 door, he found that there was a lack of restoration and performance parts for these cars, and buying from England was the only real option. After 7 years Stephen decided to move away from the small Ford scene.
In 2015 Carl Muller a passionate small Ford car enthusiast and then owner of an automotive service business purchased SMCKA Performance and relocated it to Melbourne. In 2019, Carl purchased Capri Components from Lawrie Nelson adding numerous Capri parts to the already extensive inventory. Carl has a number of exclusive small Fords, mainly racing Capris. This has grown to include a number of projects which are still in progress – Ford Sierra, MK1 Ford Escort and MK2 RS 2000 Ford Escort.
Our product range has changed and grown over the years but core lines are body panels, gearbox and differentials, brakes, steering and suspension.
Established relationships with our suppliers is a core part of our business and we choose to deal with reputable suppliers who support our business and share our values of integrity, value for money and quality.
